Conference speakers with built-in microphones are made for calls and video meetings in small meeting rooms, home offices and on the road. Our range includes wireless and wired models with Bluetooth and USB connections from Poly, Jabra, EPOS, Lenovo and other makers.
A device like this replaces the laptop's own microphone and speakers, so everyone around the table can hear and be heard more clearly.
How to choose a conference speaker
Number of microphones and room size. Our range includes models with 3 microphones and one model with 8. Three microphones suit a conversation around a single table, while 8 pick up voices better when people sit further from the device. Manufacturers usually state a recommended number of participants, so check it before buying.
Connection to a computer or phone. A wireless model pairs over Bluetooth with a phone or a computer without a cable, while a USB cable is usually the simplest option in a meeting room. Our range has both wireless-only models and models that offer wired and wireless connections. For calls you need the HFP or HSP profile, while A2DP lets you listen to music.
Power and battery. A battery model can be carried from room to room, while a USB-powered one suits a fixed spot on a desk. Some of our models offer 15 to 20 hours of talk time and take 3 to 4 hours to recharge. Long talk time matters if you have several lengthy meetings in a day.
USB connector and compatibility. Some models have a USB Type-C connector, and some also have Micro-USB. Check that your computer has a suitable port and that a cable is included. Most conference speakers appear on a computer as an ordinary audio device, so they work with popular meeting software.

Frequently asked questions
How is a conference speaker different from laptop speakers?
A conference speaker has one or more microphones placed to pick up several people's voices, plus a speaker tuned for speech. Many models also reduce echo and background noise. A laptop microphone usually hears only the person sitting right next to it.
Can I use a conference speaker with a phone?
Yes, if the model has Bluetooth. Phone calls need the HFP profile, which is listed for the models in our range with stated Bluetooth profiles. Check that the profile appears in the product description before you buy.
How long does a conference speaker battery last?
For the models in our range that state it, talk time is between 15 and 20 hours. Recharging takes 3 to 4 hours. Real-world running time depends on volume and how the speaker is used.
Should I choose Bluetooth or a USB cable?
A USB cable suits a speaker that stays at the same computer, because there is no pairing to manage. Bluetooth is more convenient when you connect to a phone or switch computers often. Some models offer both, so you can use whichever is easier at the time.
