Multifunction printers print, scan and usually copy, so they suit homes, small offices and workgroups. Our range includes over 350 inkjet, laser and LED models, with products from Epson, HP, Brother and Canon among others.
Most devices handle A4, but A3 models are available too.
How to choose a multifunction printer
Print technology. Inkjet devices reproduce colour images and photos well, and models with refillable ink tanks usually cost less per page when you print a lot. Laser printers are faster with text documents and suit regular, high-volume printing. In our range inkjet and laser models are fairly evenly split, alongside some thermal inkjet and LED devices.
Paper size and trays. A4 is enough for homes and most offices, while drawings, posters and large spreadsheets call for an A3 model. Most of our devices have a single paper tray, but some have two, three or even five. Several trays let you keep different paper types loaded and refill less often.
Scanner. Almost all our multifunction printers scan in colour. Optical resolution ranges from 600 x 600 to 1200 x 2400 DPI and higher. For documents and invoices 600 DPI is enough, while photos and small originals are better scanned at a higher value. If you often scan multi-page documents, check whether the device has an automatic document feeder.
Colours and consumables. Many models print in four colours (black, cyan, magenta, yellow), while some print in black only. If you mostly print text, a black-and-white device is usually cheaper and simpler. Before buying, compare the price of cartridges or ink bottles with the number of pages each one yields.

Frequently asked questions
Is an inkjet or a laser multifunction printer better?
It depends on what you print and how often. A laser device suits large volumes of text documents, as it prints quickly and the pages do not smudge. An inkjet is the better choice when you need colour images or photos and print only occasionally.
Is a multifunction printer with ink tanks worth it?
Yes, if you print often, because ink is refilled from bottles and the cost per page is usually lower than with cartridges. The device itself often costs more, but the savings build up over time. For people who print rarely, the advantage may be small.
When do I need an A3 multifunction printer?
You need A3 when you print or scan drawings, posters, large spreadsheets or two A4 pages as one. Homes and most offices manage fine with A4. A3 devices are larger and more expensive, so buy one only when you have a real need.
What scanning resolution is enough?
For documents and invoices 600 DPI is enough. For photos or small originals, choose 1200 DPI or more. Higher resolution produces larger files and slower scans, so use it only when you need it.
