This category covers camera bags, backpacks and cases for photographers, travellers and anyone who needs to carry gear comfortably. Our range has over 40 models, including products from XD DESIGN, CASE LOGIC, OGIO and DEUTER.
Some items are made specifically for photographic equipment, while others are general-purpose backpacks and bags that also have room for a camera.
How to choose a camera bag or case
Type. A backpack suits heavier kit and longer outings because it spreads the weight across both shoulders. A shoulder bag gives faster access to the camera, while a case protects only the body and usually goes inside another bag.
Interior and dividers. Adjustable dividers let you arrange the body, lenses and accessories so they do not knock against each other. Measure your gear with the lens attached, not just the body, and leave a little spare room.
Protection. Soft padding absorbs knocks, and water-resistant fabric or a separate rain cover helps outdoors. In city backpacks, look for pockets and zips on the back panel, which are harder for a stranger to reach.
Capacity and comfort. A full backpack gets heavy quickly, so check the shoulder strap padding, the chest or hip belt and the back ventilation. If you also carry a laptop or tablet, check that there is a separate compartment and what screen size it is meant for.
Purpose. An action camera needs only a small case, while a photo trip with several lenses calls for a bag with separate compartments. If the bag will also serve for everyday use, choose a discreet design that does not advertise expensive equipment inside.

Frequently asked questions
Is a backpack or a shoulder bag better for a camera?
A backpack is better when you carry a lot of gear or walk for long periods, because the load is spread more evenly. A shoulder bag is more convenient when you take the camera out and put it away often. With one body and one or two lenses a bag is enough, while a larger kit is easier to carry in a backpack.
Do I need a dedicated camera bag?
Not strictly, but a dedicated camera bag usually has padded, adjustable compartments that protect the equipment from knocks and rubbing. In an ordinary backpack the camera moves around with other items, which makes damage more likely. Another option is a separate case that you can place inside any backpack.
What size of camera bag should I choose?
Choose by the size of your kit with the lens attached, not by the body alone. Include extra lenses, a flash, batteries and memory cards in your calculation. It is worth leaving a little spare room so the gear is not packed too tightly.
Will a camera bag protect my camera from rain?
Some bags are made from water-resistant fabric, but water resistance does not mean full protection in heavy rain. A rain cover or a model with well-sealed zips adds extra safety. Check the product description to see whether water protection is stated.
