Laptop cooling pads for anyone who wants a cooler, better-positioned laptop: models with built-in fans, passive stands and pads with adjustable angles. They suit gamers, students and people who work on a laptop for long hours. Our range has over 60 models, including White Shark, Esperanza, Rampage and Tracer.
How to choose a laptop cooling pad
Size. The pad should match your laptop's screen size. Many models are made for 15.6-inch laptops, and some also fit larger ones, such as 17-inch models. A pad that is too small will not cover the underside of the laptop, where the air is drawn in.
Fans. A larger fan can usually move the same amount of air at a lower speed, so it runs more quietly. Several fans cover a bigger area, but check that they line up with your laptop's vents, which are usually on the underside or at the sides.
Surface and material. A metal mesh conducts heat away from the laptop body better than smooth plastic and does not block airflow. Our range includes models with an aluminium or stainless steel surface, while most of the others are plastic with a mesh panel.
Angle and height. A raised laptop draws in air more easily, and the keyboard sits at a more comfortable angle, which is easier on your wrists. If you work at a desk for several hours, choose a pad with more than one height setting.
Power and ports. Most pads are powered through USB, so they take up one port on your laptop. Some have extra USB ports, which helps if your laptop has few.

Frequently asked questions
Does a laptop cooling pad really lower the temperature?
Yes, it can lower the temperature a little, especially when the laptop is under heavy load. The pad improves airflow beneath the laptop and helps heat escape. It does not replace clean internal cooling, so you still need to remove dust from the laptop itself.
What size of cooling pad do I need?
Choose by your laptop's screen size, which is given in the product description. A pad made for 15.6-inch laptops will usually hold a smaller laptop, but the fans may not sit under its vents. It is best not to put a larger laptop on a pad that is too small.
Are cooling pads noisy?
Pads with fans make some audible noise, although the level varies. Models with larger fans or speed control are usually quieter. Passive pads without fans make no noise at all, but they cool less.
Do I need a cooling pad if I do not play games?
Not always, but it helps when your laptop runs many programmes all day, edits video or runs virtual machines. For office work, a simple stand that lifts the laptop and improves airflow is often enough. If your laptop often feels hot or its fan is loud, a pad is worth trying.
