How to choose drone accessories
Model compatibility. Start by checking which drone the accessory is made for. Batteries, propellers, filters and guards often fit only certain series, for example particular DJI Mini, Air or Mavic models, so compare the exact drone name with the product description.
What you want to improve. Decide whether the goal is longer flight time, better footage, protection or easier carrying. A spare battery extends a flying session, filters help control exposure, and propeller guards reduce the risk of damage when flying near obstacles.
Camera filters. ND filters reduce the light reaching the sensor, so on a sunny day you can film with a slower shutter speed and get more natural motion blur. CPL filters cut reflections from water and glass. Choose a set made for your drone, because a filter that is too heavy can upset the gimbal balance.
Batteries and charging. Batteries from the drone maker usually pass accurate charge information to the flight app. If you fly for more than one session, a charger that charges several batteries in turn saves you from swapping them by hand.
Transport and protection. A bag or case with internal compartments keeps the drone, controller and spare batteries safe on the road. Allow for the folded size of the drone plus its accessories, as not every case will hold the full kit.

What are ND filters for on a drone?
ND filters reduce the amount of light reaching the camera without changing colours. In bright conditions this lets you use a slower shutter speed, so moving subjects look natural rather than sharp and jerky. They are most useful for shooting video on sunny days.
How many spare batteries should I have?
One or two spare batteries are usually enough for a reasonably long flying session. Flight time per battery depends on the model and the weather, and it drops in cold air. If you film in remote places where you cannot recharge, take more.
Is it safe to use accessories from other makers?
Filters, cases and guards from other makers are usually fine if they are made for your exact model. For batteries and propellers it is better to choose those from the drone maker or ones clearly confirmed as compatible, because they directly affect flight safety.
