How to choose a holder or stand
Device size and weight. Check first that the holder or stand is made for your device size: a phone holder is usually too small for a tablet, and a larger tablet needs a wider, sturdier support. A holder made for a specific model grips the device more firmly than a universal one, but it is harder to reuse when you change device. If you use a thick case, allow for that too.
Where you will use it. A desk needs a stable base and a comfortable viewing angle, a car needs a holder that copes with vibration, and a shop counter or reception desk is better served by a fixed stand. Think about how often you will take the device out: a quick-release holder is convenient every day, while a fixed one suits places where the device always stays put.
