Dust filters and grilles for PC fans and coolers: filters catch dust, while grilles keep cables and fingers away from the spinning blades. This category suits anyone whose case clogs up quickly. You will find products from INLINE, SilverStone, DEMCIFLEX and Lian Li.
Our range has over 20 models, mostly aluminium, for fans from 4 to 14 cm in diameter.
How to choose a dust filter or fan grille
Fan diameter. Measure the fan frame or check the manufacturer's marking first. Our range includes products for 4, 6, 8, 9.2 and 14 cm fans, with several models for 8 and 9.2 cm. Also check the distance between the mounting holes, because fans of the same nominal size can differ.
Filter or grille. A filter with a fine mesh catches dust and fluff, while a grille with larger openings mainly protects against contact and loose cables and stops very little dust. If you want a cleaner case interior, choose a filter. If safety and the freest possible airflow matter most, a grille is enough.
Material and colour. Most items in our range with a stated material are aluminium, which is light, does not rust and copes well with repeated cleaning. Pick the colour to match your case: our range includes black and silver options.
Mounting and upkeep. Some filters are screwed on, others use clips or magnets. A magnetic filter is easy to remove and rinse, but the surface it attaches to must be magnetic. A finer mesh catches more dust but restricts airflow more, so it needs cleaning more often.

Frequently asked questions
Does a dust filter make cooling worse?
A clean filter reduces cooling only slightly, because the mesh restricts airflow a little. The problem starts when the filter clogs with dust: the fan then draws in less air and components run hotter. Cleaning the filter regularly matters more than leaving it off.
How often should I clean a dust filter?
It depends on the room, but in most homes it is worth checking the filter every few months. Dusty rooms, carpets or pets mean more frequent cleaning. An aluminium filter can usually be brushed clean or rinsed with water and dried thoroughly.
How do I know what size of filter I need?
You need the fan diameter, which is often given in millimetres: 92 mm is 9.2 cm. Measure the fan frame and check the spacing of the mounting holes. Our range includes filters and grilles for 4, 6, 8, 9.2 and 14 cm fans.
What is the difference between a dust filter and a fan grille?
A dust filter has a fine mesh and catches dust, while a grille has larger openings and protects the fan from cables and contact. A grille barely affects airflow but stops very little dust. If you want both cleanliness and protection, choose a filter whose frame or mesh does both jobs.
