Tablet keyboards

Tablet keyboards include Bluetooth keyboards, keyboard cases and attachable keyboards for iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Lenovo and Surface-style tablets. They suit anyone who types long texts or works with documents on a tablet. Our range is led by Logitech, Inateck and Apple, with models from Lenovo, Microsoft and Samsung as well.

How to choose a tablet keyboard

Compatibility. Start with the exact tablet model and release year, not just the manufacturer. Keyboard cases are made for a specific body, so they often do not fit even a similar-sized tablet from another generation. Standalone Bluetooth keyboards are less fussy, but the tablet's operating system must support Bluetooth keyboards.

Case or standalone keyboard. A keyboard case protects the screen, holds the tablet at an angle and lets you use it much like a laptop, but it adds weight. A standalone keyboard is lighter and often more comfortable to type on if the tablet sits on a stand, though you have to carry it separately.

Connection and power. Many keyboards connect over Bluetooth and run on a battery that needs charging. Some keyboards made for tablets attach through magnetic contacts and draw power from the tablet itself, so there is no pairing and nothing to charge.

Typing comfort. For long texts, choose keys of a reasonable size with a noticeable travel rather than a flat membrane surface. Check the layout too: some models carry only English key markings, although Lithuanian letters can still be typed after switching the software layout.

Trackpad and extras. A trackpad lets you move the cursor without touching the screen, which helps with spreadsheets and documents. Also look at key backlighting, a row of function keys and whether the keyboard can be detached from the case.

Frequently asked questions

Does a tablet keyboard fit any tablet?

No, keyboard cases are made for a specific tablet model and size. Universal Bluetooth keyboards work with most tablets that support Bluetooth, whatever the manufacturer. Before buying, check the exact model name of your tablet.

What is the difference between a Bluetooth keyboard and a keyboard case?

A Bluetooth keyboard is a separate device that you can use with several tablets and a phone. A keyboard case is fitted to one model, protects the tablet and often includes a stand. The first is lighter and more versatile, the second is more convenient to carry around.

Is a tablet keyboard with a trackpad worth it?

Yes, if you often work with documents, spreadsheets or email on your tablet. A trackpad lets you control the cursor without reaching for the screen. If you mostly watch content and only type now and then, a simpler keyboard is enough.

Can I type Lithuanian letters on a tablet keyboard?

Yes, you can type Lithuanian letters by switching the software keyboard layout in the tablet settings, even if the keys carry only English markings. If you want the letters printed on the keys, look for a model with Lithuanian key markings. Some manufacturers offer such versions separately.
