This category covers tablet keyboard cases and standalone Bluetooth keyboards for people who write a lot on a tablet, such as emails, documents or lecture notes. Our range includes more than 90 models, mostly from Logitech, along with ZAGG, Apple, Xiaomi and Targus.
Some models have a trackpad and others only keys, so it is worth choosing according to how you use your tablet.
How to choose a tablet keyboard or keyboard case
Tablet compatibility. A keyboard case is made for one specific model, so the exact tablet name and generation matter as much as the manufacturer. Screen size and camera position differ even between neighbouring generations. The keyboards in our range that list a connection type use Bluetooth, and a standalone keyboard can usually be paired with several devices.
Keyboard layout. Our range includes German, UK English, Spanish and Nordic layouts. The layout decides where special characters sit and what shape the Enter key has. Check the language stated in the product description, not just the product name, before you buy.
Trackpad. Some models have a trackpad and some do not. A trackpad lets you move the cursor without touching the screen, which helps with spreadsheets and long texts. If you mostly type short messages, a simpler keyboard is enough.
Backlighting. Many keyboards in our range have backlit keys, which help in the evening, while travelling or in a dim lecture hall. Backlighting uses power, so the battery lasts a little less when it is on.
Protection and form. A detachable keyboard lets you use the tablet on its own, while a one-piece case with a stand keeps everything together. If you carry the tablet every day, choose a case with reinforced corners and screen protection.

Frequently asked questions
Will any Bluetooth keyboard work with a tablet?
In most cases yes, because a standard Bluetooth keyboard pairs with most tablets running Android, iPadOS or Windows. Some function keys may behave differently from those on the original keyboard. Keyboard cases are different: they are made only for the tablet model stated.
Is a keyboard case better than a separate keyboard?
A keyboard case is better if you want protection and a single set that you carry together. A separate keyboard suits you if you may change tablets or use it with several devices. It is easier to move to another device, but it does not protect the screen.
Does a tablet keyboard need a trackpad?
A trackpad is not essential, but it makes work on spreadsheets, presentations and long documents easier. The tablet screen can still be touched without one, so if you will mainly type text, a model without a trackpad is enough.
Do tablet keyboards need charging?
A wireless keyboard needs power: some have a rechargeable battery charged by cable, others use replaceable batteries. Battery life depends on the model and on whether the key backlight is on. The exact details are in the product description.
