Robotic lawn mowers cut the grass on their own and return to a charging station when the battery runs low. Our range has over 35 models, including GARDENA, BOSCH, ECOVACS and HOOKII, for small gardens and larger lawns alike.
Models differ in lawn area, slope handling, cutting height and navigation.
How to choose a robotic lawn mower
Lawn size. Measure your lawn and choose a model with some margin. Our range includes mowers rated for roughly 500 m² up to 2000 m². On a lawn with narrow passages or several separate zones, the area a mower actually covers is usually smaller than the figure on the box.
Slope. If your lawn has inclines, check the maximum slope the manufacturer allows. In our range the stated limits start at 20° and 24° and go up to 45% or 50%. Watch the units: 45% is about 24°, and 50% is about 27°.
Cutting height and width. For many of our models the lowest cutting height is 3 cm, and the highest setting ranges from 5 to 9 cm. A wider adjustment range helps if you want to leave the grass longer, for example in a dry summer. Cutting width in our range runs from 18 to 33 cm: a wider blade covers a big lawn faster, while a narrower one moves more easily around shrubs and flower beds.
Navigation and installation. Traditional robotic mowers follow a boundary wire fixed to the ground, while some newer models use satellite or camera-based navigation with no wire. A wire takes time to lay but marks the edges precisely. A wire-free model is quicker to set up, though the signal can weaken in the shade of large trees and buildings.
Charging and control. Where it is stated, charging time in our range runs from about 0.8 to 2 hours. Many modern models can be controlled through an app, so you can set a mowing schedule, create zones and adjust the cutting height from your phone.

Frequently asked questions
What size of lawn suits a robotic lawn mower?
Each model has a maximum lawn area, so choose one by the size of your lawn. Our range includes mowers rated for roughly 500 m² up to 2000 m². It is best to pick a model whose limit is somewhat higher than your actual lawn.
Does a robotic lawn mower need a boundary wire?
Most robotic mowers work with a boundary wire that marks the edges of the lawn. Some newer models use satellite or camera navigation and need no wire. Check which method a specific model uses before you buy.
Can a robotic lawn mower cope with a slope?
Yes, but only up to the slope the manufacturer states. In our range the stated limits start at 20° and 24°, and some models go up to 45% or 50%. If your slope is steeper than the limit, the mower may slip or stop.
Can a robotic lawn mower work in the rain?
Many models are protected against water, and some have a rain sensor and return to the station when it starts to rain. Wet grass is harder to cut, though, and the finish is usually poorer. The exact details are in the description of each model.
