The cable management category covers server and network rack accessories for keeping cables tidy: cable management panels, organisers, brush panels, brackets and straight cable trays. Our range holds over 500 products, including Delock, EFB-Elektronik, DSIT, Triton and Rittal. They suit IT professionals, offices and anyone building a small network rack at home.
How to choose cable management
Product type. The most common choice is a cable management panel with loops or slots, fitted between pieces of equipment. A brush panel lets you pass a cable through together with its connector and covers the opening, so less dust gets in. Brackets and straight cable trays suit longer cable runs.
Height in the rack. Most products in our range are 1U, with 2U and 0.5U also available. A few are listed as 12U, 40U or 42U, and these are usually meant for larger racks. Count the free units in your rack before buying, because every panel takes up some of them.
Rack standard and depth. Most server and network racks use a 19-inch frame, but the mounting method and rack depth vary. Check that the accessory fits the same rail hole system and that there is enough room behind the equipment for the cables.
Cable quantity and thickness. Thick shielded network cables and power leads take up far more room than slim patch cables. Leave some spare capacity so you can add cables later without creating a jam.
Colour. Most products are black, with some in grey, silver and white. Colour matters mainly when the rack accessories need to match equipment that is already installed.

Frequently asked questions about rack cable management
What is a cable management panel for?
A cable management panel guides cables neatly at the front or rear of a rack, between pieces of equipment. It stops cables tangling, makes them easier to trace and takes strain off the connectors. It mounts on the rack rails like any other 19-inch equipment.
Should I choose a 1U or a 2U cable panel?
A 1U panel is enough when you have a modest number of cables, and it uses the least rack space. Choose 2U when many thicker cables gather in one spot or when they need more room. Most products in our range are 1U.
How does a brush panel differ from a standard cable panel?
A brush panel has an opening fitted with bristles, so you can pass cables through together with their connectors. A standard panel has loops or slots that hold cables in place. The bristles cover the opening and limit airflow and dust, which is why brush panels are often used where cables run from the front of a rack to the back.
How do I tidy cables in a network rack?
Start by grouping cables by purpose and length, then route them through management panels or organisers. Use cables of the right length so you do not need large spare loops. Fasten them without pulling tight, to avoid damaging the connectors.
