Projector mounts are for anyone who needs to hang a projector from the ceiling or fix it to a wall at home, in an office or in a classroom. Our range has over 30 ceiling and wall mounts, including products from Vogel's, EDBAK, SUNNE and SMS.
Some models offer adjustable tilt, so the image is easy to line up with the screen.
How to choose a projector mount
Mounting position. Our range includes both ceiling and wall mounts. A ceiling mount puts the projector in the middle of the room, out of the audience's way, while a wall mount helps when the ceiling is high or awkward to drill. Before buying, check what the wall or ceiling is made of, because concrete, plasterboard and timber need different fixings.
Weight capacity. The mount's rated load should be higher than the projector's weight, ideally with some margin. Our range includes mounts rated for 10, 13.5, 15 and 20 kg. You will find the projector's weight in its specification, and it is worth allowing for attached cables or adapters too.
Compatibility with the projector. Many universal mounts have adjustable arms, but you should still check that the screw-hole layout matches the mounting holes on the underside of your projector. Some manufacturers also offer mounts designed specifically for their own projectors.
Adjustment. Once installed, the projector has to be aimed precisely at the screen, so tilt and rotation matter. In our range you will see tilt ranges of -8 to 8°, -15 to 15° and 0 to 25°. If the projector will not hang directly in front of the screen, choose a mount that lets you change several angles.
Drop length and cables. In tall rooms you often need a longer or adjustable-length pole so the projector sits at the right height. It helps if cables can run through the mount itself and stay out of sight. Colour (white, black or silver) only matters in that the mount should blend in with the ceiling or wall.

Frequently asked questions
Which mount should I choose for my projector?
Start with the mounting position: ceiling or wall. Then check that the mount's rated load is higher than the projector's weight and that the fixing holes match. Finally, look at the tilt and rotation range so you can line the image up with the screen.
Does one mount fit every projector?
No, although many universal mounts fit a large number of projectors. What matters is that the hole layout matches and the projector stays within the rated load. If you are unsure, compare your projector's specification with the mount's description.
How far from the screen should a projector be mounted?
The distance depends on the projector's lens, so it should be worked out from the throw ratio given by the manufacturer. Many manufacturers offer a distance calculator on their websites. Choose the mount only once you know the distance and height at which the projector will hang.
Can I fit a projector mount to a plasterboard ceiling?
Yes, but only into the frame or another load-bearing structure, not into the thin plasterboard sheet alone. The sheet itself cannot carry much weight, especially when the projector hangs on a longer pole. If you are not sure what is behind the finish, it is wise to ask an installer.
