Computer holders are brackets for mounting a system unit, mini PC or thin client under a desk, on its side, behind a monitor or on a wall. The category has over 25 models, including Neomounts, LogiLink, Lenovo and HP.
Getting the computer off the desktop frees up space, helps with cable management and keeps the machine out of the dust and away from stray kicks on the floor.
How to choose a computer holder
Mounting position. Decide first where the computer will sit: under the desktop, beside a desk leg, behind a monitor or on a wall. Under-desk holders are made for system units, while mini PCs can often be screwed to the VESA holes on the back of a monitor.
Weight capacity. Our range includes holders rated from 3 to 30 kg, and among the products with a stated capacity 10 kg appears most often. A light holder is enough for a small mini PC, but weigh a full-size unit with several drives and a graphics card and choose a holder with some margin.
Dimensions and adjustment. Compare the width, height and depth of your computer with the sizes the holder accepts. An adjustable-width design suits several different cases, while a fixed-size holder is usually made for one specific mini PC model.
Ventilation and ports. The holder should not block ventilation openings, and the power button and the ports you use most should stay within reach. Leave room for cables too, so they are not bent sharply.

Frequently asked questions
What is a computer holder for?
A computer holder keeps a system unit or mini PC off the desktop and the floor. Mounted under a desk or behind a monitor, it frees up workspace, makes cleaning easier and protects the machine from dust and accidental knocks.
How much weight should a computer holder support?
A holder should support at least the weight of the computer, and preferably have some margin. Mini PCs usually need only a modest capacity, while a full-size system unit calls for a sturdier holder, for example 10 kg or more. You will find the exact weight of your computer in the manufacturer's specification.
Can a mini PC be mounted on the back of a monitor?
Yes, if the monitor has a VESA mounting plate on the back and the holder is designed for that kind of installation. Check the monitor's VESA spacing, the combined weight and whether the mini PC's ports will remain accessible. Not every monitor stand or arm can carry the extra load.
Will a computer overheat under a desk?
Not if the holder leaves the ventilation openings uncovered and there is free air around the computer. The risk of overheating arises when the case is squeezed into a closed recess or pressed against a wall. Before fitting, check where the computer draws air in and where it blows it out.
