How to choose mount accessories
Compatibility with your mount. An accessory must fit your specific mount model or the same manufacturer's system. Check whether the mount maker lists compatible accessories before you buy, because connectors and fixing points often differ between brands.
VESA pattern. The mounting holes on the back of a screen follow the VESA standard: usually 75×75 or 100×100 mm on monitors, and 200×200, 400×400 mm or more on larger TVs. If the screen's hole pattern differs from the mount plate, you need a VESA adapter that covers both patterns.
Weight limit. The screen weight is in its specification, and the accessory's limit is given in its description. An adapter or extension pole may have a lower limit than the mount itself, so leave a safety margin.
Length and stability. Extension poles let you raise or lower a screen, for example under a high ceiling or to reach a comfortable viewing height. The longer the pole, the more the screen can wobble, so choose a thicker, sturdier pole for a large display.
Cables and surface. Cable channels, clips and covers tidy the wires behind the screen or along a pole. If the accessory attaches to a wall or desk, make sure it suits the wall material and the thickness of the desktop.
