How to choose a ceiling mount
Screen size and weight. Check the supported screen diagonal and the maximum load first. In our range, mounts cover screens from 10 to 75 inches, and the stated weight limits run from 20 kg up to 100 kg. A little spare capacity is worth having, especially if you may replace the screen with a bigger one later.
VESA pattern. Measure the distance between the mounting holes on the back of the screen and compare it with the mount's minimum and maximum VESA size. In our range the minimum starts at 50 x 50 mm, while the maximum runs from 100 x 100 mm to 800 x 400 mm. Large TVs often need 400 x 400 mm or 600 x 400 mm.
Number of screens. Most of our mounts hold a single screen, but there are also options for two, three or even four. A multi-screen system needs fewer fixing points in the ceiling, though the ceiling must carry the combined weight of every screen.
Height and adjustment. The pole length depends on the ceiling height and the level at which the screen should hang. A telescopic pole lets you fine-tune this on site, while tilt and swivel help you avoid glare and aim the screen at the seating area.
Ceiling type and material. Concrete ceilings, timber joists and plasterboard each need different fixings, and these are not always supplied. Many of our mounts are made of steel, with aluminium and plastic versions also available. For heavy screens, a steel mount is the safer choice.

Can I hang a TV from a ceiling mount?
Yes, provided the mount's screen size, VESA pattern and weight limit match your TV. Our range includes models for screens up to 75 inches. Before buying, check the weight of the TV and the layout of the VESA holes on its back.
How do I know if a mount will fit my monitor?
Compare three things: the VESA hole spacing, the screen diagonal and the weight. All three must fall within the limits stated for the mount. If the screen has no VESA holes, you will need a separate adapter.
Can a ceiling mount be fixed to a plasterboard ceiling?
Not directly to thin plasterboard, as it cannot support the weight of a screen. The mount should be secured to joists or another load-bearing structure, or use fixings designed for the purpose. If in doubt, ask an installer.
What pole length do I need?
Subtract the height at which you want the centre of the screen from the ceiling height, and the result is the pole length you need. If you are not sure of the exact figure, choose a telescopic pole that can be shortened or extended during installation.
