HDMI cables connect monitors, TVs, projectors, computers and games consoles. Our range has over 3000 cables: standard HDMI, mini HDMI and micro HDMI leads, plus cables with a USB Type-C or DVI-D connector at one end.
The best-represented makers are DELOCK, SHIVERPEAKS, INLINE and LINDY.
How to choose an HDMI cable
HDMI version. 4K at 120 Hz and 8K resolution need version 2.1, so it matters for new games consoles and TVs. Version 2.0 is enough for 4K at 60 Hz, while 1.4 suits Full HD. Our range covers versions 1.3 to 2.1, with 2.0 the most common.
Connector types. The standard HDMI Type A connector is on nearly all TVs, monitors and computers. Mini (Type C) and micro (Type D) connectors are mostly found on cameras, tablets and small graphics cards. Check both ends before buying, as some cables have different connectors at each end.
Length. The longer the cable, the more the signal weakens, especially at high resolutions. An ordinary copper cable is usually fine over a few metres, but longer runs, such as to a ceiling-mounted projector, often call for an active or optical cable.
Connector shape. Angled and rotating connectors help when there is little space behind a wall-mounted TV or monitor. Most of our cables have straight connectors, and angled or rotating ones are less common, so it pays to look for them early.
Contacts and interference protection. Most cables have gold-plated contacts. They do not improve a digital picture, but they protect the connection from oxidation. A shielded, thicker cable is less affected by electrical interference, which matters on longer runs.

HDMI cable FAQ
What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 cables?
HDMI 2.1 carries much more data than 2.0, so it supports 4K at 120 Hz and 8K resolution. Version 2.0 is designed for up to 4K at 60 Hz. If you have a new games console or a high-refresh-rate TV, choose 2.1, otherwise 2.0 is usually enough.
Do I need a special HDMI cable for a 4K TV?
Yes, an old 1.3 or basic 1.4 cable will not always carry 4K at 60 Hz. Choose a version 2.0 or 2.1 cable for that. It is also worth checking which standard the TV's own HDMI port supports.
What is the longest HDMI cable I can use?
There is no strict limit, but the signal weakens as length and resolution increase. Ordinary copper cables work well over a few metres. Much longer distances call for an active or optical cable.
How do I tell mini HDMI from micro HDMI?
Micro HDMI (Type D) is smaller than mini HDMI (Type C) and is more common on newer portable devices. Mini HDMI is slightly larger and is used on cameras and some tablets. They are not physically interchangeable, so check your device's specifications to see which connector it uses.
