Keyboard accessories

Keyboard accessories include keycap sets and wrist rests for people who want to adapt a keyboard to their hands and desk. Our range has over 60 products, including items from Glorious, Akko, Logitech, Razer and Fellowes.

How to choose keyboard accessories

Material. Keycaps are usually made from ABS or PBT plastic. PBT is harder and keeps its texture for longer, while ABS is often smoother but tends to turn shiny sooner under heavy use. Our range includes both PBT and ABS keycaps. Wrist rests are made from gel, memory foam or silicone.

Compatibility. Keycaps must fit your keyboard's switches: most mechanical keyboards use a Cherry MX style stem, but some low-profile keyboards use a different one. Check the layout too. The set should include every key on your keyboard, especially the long ones such as the space bar, Shift and Enter.

Wrist rest size and height. The rest should be about as long as the keyboard (full-size or tenkeyless) and close to the height of the key row. A rest that is too tall bends the wrist upwards and defeats the purpose. Gel feels softer, memory foam adapts to the shape of your hand, and silicone is easier to wipe clean.

Colour and backlighting. If your keyboard has RGB lighting, choose transparent keycaps or ones with shine-through legends. Our range includes black, white, transparent, pink and blue items, as well as multicolour ones.

Brands in our range

  • Glorious: known for its modular GMMK mechanical keyboards, so its keycaps and switches are often used to customise a keyboard.
  • Akko: a mechanical keyboard maker known for themed keycap sets.
  • Cherry: created the MX switch, whose stem shape became the standard for most mechanical keyboard keycaps.
  • Fellowes: an office ergonomics maker known for wrist rests and other desk supports.
  • Razer: a gaming peripherals brand that also offers ergonomic keyboard wrist rests.
  • Logitech: one of the largest keyboard and mouse makers, with accessories designed for its own keyboards.

Also in our range: White Shark, Sharkoon, Traitors, Endorfy, Corsair and Baaske.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PBT and ABS keycaps?

PBT keycaps are harder and more resistant to wear, so they do not turn shiny as quickly as ABS. Their surface is usually slightly grainy and the sound when typing is deeper. ABS keycaps are smoother, but they tend to become shiny after months of heavy use.

Do I need a wrist rest for my keyboard?

A wrist rest is not essential, but it helps if you type or play for long periods. It supports the wrist in a straight position and reduces pressure on the underside of the wrist. Your hands should still move while typing, so the rest is meant for pauses.

How do I know if keycaps will fit my keyboard?

First check which type of switches your keyboard uses, because that determines the stem shape. Most mechanical keyboards use Cherry MX style switches, which suit a large number of keycap sets. Also make sure the set covers your layout, including the longer keys.

Which is better: a gel or a memory foam wrist rest?

Neither is better for everyone, as the choice depends on feel and height. Gel is soft and cool to the touch, while memory foam adapts to the shape of your wrist and holds it. What matters most is that the rest matches the height of your keyboard keys.
