Business and office projectors

Business and office projectors

Business and office projectors are made for showing slides, reports and video in meeting rooms, training rooms and classrooms. Our range includes over 270 models: lamp, laser and LED projectors, from XGA to 4K resolution. The best represented brands are Acer, Optoma, Epson, BenQ, InFocus and ViewSonic.

How to choose a business projector

Brightness. In a well-lit room, the light output in ANSI lumens matters more than resolution. For a room with unshaded windows, choose a model rated at several thousand lumens; a room where you can dim the light needs less. A larger screen also calls for more light.

Resolution and aspect ratio. Our range includes XGA (1024x768), WXGA, WUXGA (1920x1200), 1080p and 4K UHD projectors, and 1080p is the most frequent among them. If you mainly show a laptop screen, a 16:10 ratio (WXGA, WUXGA) fills the picture without black bars. For films and video calls, 16:9 is the better fit.

Light source. A lamp projector needs a replacement lamp from time to time, while laser and LED models usually do not. The light source life stated in our range runs from 4,000 to 30,000 hours, and the highest figures belong to laser and LED models. If the projector is used every day, the longer life pays off.

Projection technology. DLP projectors are generally smaller and lighter, which makes them easy to carry between rooms. In 3LCD models, white and colour brightness are usually equal, whereas some people notice a rainbow effect on DLP images. Our range has more DLP models, but 3LCD is well represented too.

Connections. Most models have one or two HDMI ports, some have three or four, and a few have none. If you connect both a computer and conferencing equipment or a player to the same projector, choose at least two HDMI ports.

Frequently asked questions

How many lumens does an office projector need?

For a meeting room where you can dim the lights, a few thousand ANSI lumens is usually enough. A bright room or a large image needs more. Before buying, check the screen size and whether the windows can be blacked out.

Should I choose a laser or a lamp projector?

A laser projector suits daily, heavy use, because its light source lasts for tens of thousands of hours and there is no lamp to replace. A lamp model suits occasional use, but the lamp will need replacing at some point. Our range includes both types.

Does an office projector need 4K resolution?

Usually not, because 1080p or WUXGA is fully adequate for text and slides. 4K is worth considering if you show detailed drawings, photographs or video on a large screen. Our range also includes 4K UHD models.

What is the difference between DLP and 3LCD projectors?

DLP projectors form the image with a mirror chip and are generally smaller and lighter. 3LCD models use three liquid crystal panels, so white and colour brightness are usually equal. Which is better depends on whether portability or colour brightness matters more to you.
