Paper trimmers and cutters for home, school and office use, with more than 20 models in our range, from A4 up to larger formats. Here you will find desktop trimmers for cutting sheets, photos and thin card. Brands include DAHLE, OLYMPIA, Esselte Leitz and FELLOWES.
How to choose a paper trimmer
Format. Start with the size of the sheets you cut. Our range includes A4, A4 Maxi and A3 trimmers. A4 is enough for documents and photos, while A3 is needed for posters, drawings and larger layouts. If you mostly cut A4, a bigger trimmer will only take up more desk space.
Cutting capacity. This tells you how many sheets the trimmer can cut in one go. In our range you will see capacities of 8, 10 and 15 sheets, which suits everyday home and small-office work. If you need to cut thicker stacks, choose a higher capacity. Thick card or reinforced paper calls for a different tool.
Cutting mechanism. A guillotine trimmer with a lever arm cuts several sheets at once in a single clean stroke. A rolling trimmer with a sliding blade usually handles fewer sheets at a time, but it is convenient for long straight cuts and photos. Think about whether you will cut stacks or single sheets.
Materials and build. Our range includes plastic, metal, and plastic and steel combinations. A metal base and steel blade generally stay stable for longer, while a plastic trimmer is lighter and easier to move. If you will use it often, a sturdier model is worth considering.
Safety and convenience. Check for a blade guard, a paper clamp and a measuring scale with an angle guide. These help you get a straight cut and protect your fingers, especially if children or several people use the trimmer.

Paper trimmer FAQ
How many sheets can a paper trimmer cut at once?
It depends on the model. In our range you will see capacities of 8, 10 and 15 sheets. The manufacturer's figure normally refers to standard 80 gsm paper, so cut thicker or harder paper in smaller stacks.
What is the difference between a guillotine and a rolling trimmer?
A guillotine trimmer lowers a blade on a lever and suits stacks of sheets. A rolling trimmer has a sliding cutter that makes a narrow cut, which is handy for photos and long straight lines. The choice depends on whether you cut many sheets together or one at a time.
Do I need an A4 or an A3 paper trimmer?
An A4 trimmer is enough if you cut documents, photos and sheets up to A4 size. You only need A3 for posters, drawings or larger sheets. A4 Maxi models are also worth a look, as they have a slightly larger cutting area.
Can a paper trimmer cut card or photos?
Photos and thin card can usually be cut, provided they stay within the model's stated capacity. A standard office trimmer is not suited to thick card or reinforced materials, as the blade may dull quickly. Check the cutting thickness given by the manufacturer before buying.
