Paper shredders for home offices, small businesses and workgroups that need to destroy contracts, invoices and other papers containing personal data. Our range has over 250 models, including strip-cut, cross-cut, particle-cut and micro-cut shredders. You will find devices from FELLOWES, REXEL, HSM, Esselte Leitz and other manufacturers.
How to choose a paper shredder
Security level. The DIN 66399 standard rates shredders from P-1 to P-7, and a higher number means smaller shreds. P-4 is usually enough for everyday papers with personal details, while financial, medical or other confidential documents call for P-5. Most models in our range are rated P-4 or P-5, and there are also P-2 and P-3 options.
Cut type. Strip-cut shredders slice paper into long narrow ribbons, which is simpler but less secure. Cross-cut and particle-cut models leave small pieces, and micro-cut produces the finest particles, which are practically impossible to piece back together. All four types are available in our range.
Capacity and duty cycle. Models in our range shred between 5 and 15 sheets at a time. The duty cycle is how long the shredder can run continuously before it needs to cool down, and it ranges from 3 to 30 minutes here. Occasional shredding of a few pages is fine with a short cycle, while larger stacks need a longer one.
Noise level. Noise levels in our range run from 55 to 72 dB. In an open-plan office or a home where others are working nearby, a quieter model of around 55 dB is more comfortable.
Extra features. Most shredders in our range also handle staples, so you do not have to remove them first. Controls are either touch or buttons, and a few models use a simple slider. It is also worth checking the waste bin size, since it decides how often you will have to empty it.

Paper shredder FAQ
What security level of shredder do I need at home?
For home use, a P-4 shredder is usually enough. It cuts paper into small particles, so the text on bills, bank statements and contracts can no longer be read. If you destroy highly sensitive documents, choose P-5.
What is the difference between cross-cut and micro-cut shredders?
A micro-cut shredder cuts paper into finer particles than a cross-cut one. This makes it more secure, but it is typically slower and its bin fills up sooner. Cross-cut is a sensible choice for everyday household and office paperwork.
Can a paper shredder handle staples?
Most modern shredders can cut through small staples, but you should check the product description. In our range, the large majority of models support this. Larger binder clips and metal fasteners are best removed before shredding.
How many sheets should a home office shredder handle at once?
For a home office, a model that shreds 6 or 8 sheets at a time is usually enough. If you regularly destroy thicker stacks, choose a device rated for 10 sheets or more, with a longer duty cycle. Our range covers models from 5 to 15 sheets.
