How to choose a phone holder or stand
Where you will use it. A desk stand only needs a stable base, while a car needs a holder that fixes to an air vent, the dashboard or the windscreen. In the kitchen or by the bed, a flexible clamp holder is often more convenient. Decide first where the phone will spend most of its time.
Phone size and case. Check that the clamps or slot can take the width of your phone with its case on. A thick protective case or a larger phone may not fit some stands or may not rest at the right angle. If you change phones often, choose an adjustable-width holder.
Adjustment and stability. An adjustable tilt angle helps both when typing and when watching video, and a rotating holder lets you use the phone upright or on its side. A non-slip base matters too: a light stand slides when you tap the screen. A heavier or metal stand usually sits more firmly than a thin plastic one.
Charging. If you want to charge the phone while it stands, choose a stand with wireless charging and check that your phone supports Qi or MagSafe. A thick case can interfere with charging. If you charge by cable, the stand must leave the bottom port free.

Does a wireless charging stand work with every phone?
No, the phone must support wireless charging, most often the Qi standard. MagSafe stands hold best with phones designed for that system. A thick or metal case can weaken or interrupt charging.
How do I choose a stand that will not tip over?
Choose a stand with a heavier base and non-slip pads. The wider the contact area, the steadier the phone stays when you tap the screen. Set an adjustable angle so that the back of the phone rests against the stand along most of its length.
