This category contains wall chargers, wireless charging stands and portable power banks for phones and other mobile devices. Most of the range comes from ZENS, with chargers from Motorola, Apple, Samsung and realme as well. It suits anyone who needs a spare charger for home, the office or travelling.
How to choose a charger or power bank
Power. Our range includes chargers from 20 W up to 125 W. A phone usually needs 20 to 25 W, while a laptop needs at least 60 to 70 W, so a 68 W or 125 W model only makes sense if it will charge a laptop too.
Compatibility. Check which connector your device has and whether the charger supports its fast-charging standard. Some of our chargers are listed as universal, others are made for smartphones. The cable is often sold separately, so it is worth sorting that out in advance.
Wired or wireless charging. A wireless stand suits a bedside table or desk: you just put the phone down and the port does not wear out. A cable is usually faster and loses less energy. Our range has both wireless and wired-only models.
Protection features. Choose a charger with over-voltage and overheating protection, as it often runs all night. Some of our chargers have both. The wall chargers we have specifications for all accept a 100-240 V supply, so they also work when travelling abroad.
Power bank capacity. Capacity is given in mAh and is never fully usable, because some energy is lost during charging. A 10,000 mAh power bank typically recharges a phone several times, while a laptop needs a larger capacity and a USB-C output with enough power.
Brands we carry
- ZENS: a Dutch brand known for wireless charging, such as desk charging stands and multi-device charging pads.
- Apple: the company behind MagSafe, magnetic wireless charging that holds an iPhone exactly over the charging coil.
- Samsung, Motorola, realme: phone makers whose chargers are matched to the fast-charging technology of their own phones, so those phones can use the full rated power.
Also in our range: eSTUFF and Celly.
Frequently asked questions
What power charger does a phone need?
Most modern phones are happy with a 20 to 25 W charger. A more powerful charger will not damage the phone, because the device decides how much power to accept. It will only use the higher power if it supports the matching fast-charging standard.
Can one charger power both a phone and a laptop?
Yes, if the charger's output matches the laptop's needs and the connector fits. Most ultrabooks need around 60 to 70 W, so a 68 W or 125 W model works. A weaker charger will charge a laptop slowly or not at all.
Is wireless charging slower than a cable?
Usually, yes. More energy is lost wirelessly and the phone warms up more, so charging generally takes longer. The advantage is convenience: you simply place the phone on the stand overnight or at your desk.
Is it safe to charge a phone overnight?
Yes, provided the charger has over-voltage and overheating protection. Modern phones stop charging themselves once the battery is full. It is best to avoid very cheap chargers without protection, especially when charging unattended.
