How to choose a phone case
Exact phone model. A case is moulded for one specific model, and even phones in the same series differ in size and camera layout. Check the full model name, including any Pro, Plus or Ultra label, because a case for the standard version will not fit another version.
Level of protection. Slim cases mainly prevent scratches and scuffs, while cases with reinforced corners or an impact-absorbing layer are built for drops. Some makers, Tech21 for example, state the drop height their cases have been tested for, which makes products easier to compare. Raised edges around the screen and camera help when the phone is placed face down.
Material. Silicone and TPU are soft and grippy, polycarbonate is rigid, and leather darkens with use and develops its own patina. A folio case with card slots can replace a wallet but makes the phone thicker. Some cases are made from recycled or plant-based materials, so read the description if that matters to you.
Wireless charging and magnets. Most thin cases do not interfere with wireless charging, but thick ones or those with metal parts can weaken it. If you use a magnetic charger, a car mount or a magnetic wallet, choose a case whose description mentions MagSafe or magnet support.
Screen protection. A case does not cover the screen glass itself, so many buyers pair it with a tempered glass protector. If you are buying both, a set from the same maker is convenient because the edges of the glass and the case line up.

How do I know which case fits my phone?
You need the exact model name of your phone, which you will find in the settings or on the original box. Cases for similar-sized models are often not interchangeable, because camera bumps, button positions and corner shapes differ. Compare the full name with the models listed in the case description before ordering.
Does a phone case block wireless charging?
Most thin plastic, silicone and leather cases do not block wireless charging. Problems can appear with thick cases, metal plates or cards kept behind the phone. If you use a magnetic charger, choose a case designed for that type of charging.
Is a leather or a silicone case better?
It depends on what matters most to you. Silicone and TPU cases are grippy and absorb knocks well, while leather looks more refined and develops a patina over time. If you drop your phone often, a reinforced protective case with raised edges is the safer option.
Do I need a screen protector as well as a case?
In most cases, yes, because a case protects the body and corners but not the screen itself. Raised case edges give the glass some protection, but they do not stop scratches or cracks from small objects. A tempered glass protector fills that gap.
