How to choose a hair clipper
Power source. Our range includes models with a built-in rechargeable battery, models that run on AA batteries and ones that can be plugged into the mains. A built-in battery is convenient for everyday use, while a corded or dual-power model will not leave you without power halfway through a haircut.
Cutting length. The shortest cutting length in our models runs from 0.5 to 3 mm: 0.5 or 1 mm gives a very short cut, while 3 mm leaves noticeably more hair. The stated maximum length on some models is 1.1 or 2.1 cm, so if you prefer a longer style, check the length limits first.
Blades. Steel or ceramic blades stay sharp when you brush the hair off them after each cut. Some manufacturers also recommend oiling the blades from time to time, so check the instructions.
Running time. Cordless models in our range offer roughly 50 to 120 minutes of running time. If you will be cutting the whole family's hair, choose a longer running time or a model that can also be used while plugged in.
Where you will use it. Some clippers are suitable for the entire body, not just the head. If you also plan to trim a beard or body hair, pick a model whose description clearly says so.

Which hair clipper should I buy for home use?
For home use, a clipper with interchangeable guide combs and clearly stated minimum and maximum cutting lengths is usually enough. First decide how long you want to leave the hair, then choose the power source. If you will also cut children's hair, a lighter, quieter model is easier to handle.
Is a cordless or corded hair clipper better?
A cordless clipper is easier to use because there is no cable in the way around the head. A corded one works as long as there is a socket and needs no charging. Dual-power models let you use either method.
Can a hair clipper be used on a beard and body hair?

How do I look after a hair clipper?
