Laptop coolers are fan pads and stands that push air beneath a laptop and raise it to a more comfortable angle. They suit gamers, remote workers and anyone whose laptop runs under heavy load for long periods.
Our range has over 30 models, with brands such as Conceptronic, Inca, Hama and Genesis.
How to choose a laptop cooler
Screen size. The cooler has to match your laptop. In our range many models are made for laptops up to 15.6 inches (39.6 cm), and others cover 17, 17.3 and 19 inches. If your laptop is larger than the stated maximum, it may overhang the pad and the fans will not sit under its air intakes.
Number of fans. Our range includes coolers with one, two, four and five fans. More fans do not automatically mean better cooling: fan size matters, and so does whether they sit under your laptop's vents. Larger fans spinning more slowly are usually quieter.
Height and tilt angle. Raising the laptop changes the position of both keyboard and screen. If you sit at it for hours, an adjustable angle helps reduce strain on the neck and wrists. With a raised screen, a separate keyboard is more comfortable to use.
Power and portability. Most coolers draw power through USB, so they take up one port on your laptop. If you are short of ports, look for a model with extra USB connections. For travel, low weight and a stand that folds flat are what count.

Laptop cooler FAQ
Does a laptop need a cooling pad?
Not always. Laptops used for browsing and office work usually manage without one. A cooler helps when the laptop gets hot during gaming, video editing or use on a soft surface, and when you want a higher screen position.
How do I know if a cooler will fit my laptop?
Compare your laptop's screen size with the maximum size stated for the cooler. Our range includes models for up to 15.6, 17, 17.3 and 19 inches. Also check where the air vents are on the underside of your laptop so the fans line up with them.
How many fans should a laptop cooler have?
One or two fans are enough for many laptops, as long as they sit under the air intakes. Models with four or five fans cover a larger area but can be noisier. Our range includes all of these options.
Is a laptop cooler powered by the laptop?
Most coolers plug into a USB port and draw power directly from the laptop, so a separate power adapter is not needed. This drains the battery slightly faster and occupies one USB port. Check how many ports your laptop has before buying.
