Mini PCs and NUC

Mini PCs and NUC-style computers are small desktop machines for offices, homes, point-of-sale counters and technical projects. Our range includes business mini PCs with Intel and AMD processors as well as Raspberry Pi devices. Most models come from Lenovo, Dell, Gigabyte and MSI.

How to choose a mini PC

Processor. An Intel Core i3 or Intel Core 5 is usually enough for office work, browsing and video calls. Choose an Intel Core Ultra 5, Core Ultra 7 or AMD Ryzen 5 if you work with many windows open, photos or video. Most models in our range use Intel processors, and some use AMD.

Memory. Look at the maximum memory the device supports, not just what is installed. Many of our models support up to 64 GB, while others stop at 16 or 32 GB. Most mini PCs use laptop-style SO-DIMM modules, so memory can usually be increased later.

Storage and operating system. Storage of 512 GB and 256 GB is the most common in our range, and 1 TB models are available too. 512 GB is normally enough for the system, programs and documents. Many models come with Windows 11 Pro installed, while others have no operating system, which suits you if you plan to install Linux or already own a licence.

Ports and networking. Most models have one RJ-45 network port and some have two, which helps if the PC will act as a router or firewall. Match the number of HDMI and DisplayPort outputs to the monitors you plan to use. The number of USB 2.0 ports varies and some models have none, so check which other USB ports are fitted. A few models also have a COM port for industrial equipment.

Purpose. Raspberry Pi devices are made for learning, automation and Linux projects. Mini PCs with Intel or AMD processors and Windows are better for everyday office software and business applications.

Frequently asked questions

What is a NUC or mini PC?

A mini PC is a complete desktop computer in a very small case that can sit behind a monitor or be mounted on it. NUC was originally Intel's name for its small computers, and the word is now often used for similar devices. They contain a processor, memory, storage and ports just like larger desktops.

Is a mini PC good enough for office and everyday work?

Yes, documents, email, a browser and video calls run well even on a simpler model with an Intel Core i3 or Core 5. With at least 16 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage you will have room for several programs at once. For heavier work, choose a Core Ultra or Ryzen 5 class processor.

How much memory does a mini PC need?

For office work 8 GB is usually enough, while 16 GB gives more room for a browser with many tabs and several programs. Also check the maximum supported memory: many of our models support up to 64 GB. If the memory is soldered to the board, it cannot be increased later.

Do I need to buy a monitor and keyboard separately?

Usually yes, because mini PCs are normally sold without a monitor, keyboard or mouse. Before buying, check that your monitor has an HDMI or DisplayPort input, which ports the computer offers and whether you need Wi-Fi. Some models have no operating system, so you would need to install one yourself.
