Cases with wood finish are PC cases whose front panel or other parts are trimmed in real wood or a wood-effect material. They suit buyers who want a computer that fits in with furniture and a living space. Our range has over 30 models, mostly Midi Tower, from ASUS, CORSAIR, DEEPCOOL, APNX and ANTEC.
How to choose a case with a wood finish
Size and motherboard. Start with the motherboard format you plan to use: ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX. Midi Tower cases generally take ATX boards, while Mini Tower cases are meant for smaller ones, so check the supported formats and measure the space on or under your desk.
Graphics card and CPU cooler clearance. In our range the maximum graphics card length runs from 31.5 to 45 cm, and the maximum CPU cooler height from 16 to 19 cm. Many current graphics cards exceed 30 cm, so compare the card's length with the case limit.
Cooling. A solid wood front panel can restrict airflow, so look at where the case draws in air and which front fans fit: from 120 to 200 mm in our range. If you plan liquid cooling, check the top radiator support: some models take up to 240 mm, others up to 420 mm.
Storage. Our cases offer between 2 and 8 bays for 2.5-inch drives and between 1 and 4 for 3.5-inch drives. An SSD-only build needs very few, while a large file collection or several hard drives calls for more 3.5-inch bays.
Type of finish. The wood may be a real veneer or an imitation, and sometimes it covers only a strip on the front. Colour matters too: our range includes wood tones as well as black, brown, beige and white cases.

Frequently asked questions
Is a wood-finish case suitable for a gaming PC?
Yes, as long as the interior is roomy enough. Our range includes models that take graphics cards up to 45 cm long and radiators up to 420 mm, but smaller models have much tighter limits, so check the dimensions of the specific case.
Does a wood finish make cooling worse?
Not necessarily, but a solid wood front panel can restrict airflow. What matters is whether the case has openings at the sides or top through which the fans can draw air. If your components produce a lot of heat, choose a model with larger front fans or room for a liquid cooling radiator.
What size of case should I choose?
Midi Tower suits most ATX builds, as it leaves room for a larger graphics card and cooling. A Mini Tower makes sense when space is limited and you are using a smaller motherboard. Compare the supported board formats with your own components before buying.
Is the wood always real?
No. Some cases use real wood veneer, others a wood-effect finish. The manufacturer's description states the material, so check it if a genuine wood texture matters to you.
