RGB cases are mostly Midi Tower models, plus a few Mini Tower ones, with lit fans, LED strips or a glass side panel. They suit gaming and enthusiast PCs where you want the components on show. Our range has over 450 models, including Thermaltake, Zalman, Sharkoon and Corsair.
How to choose an RGB case
Form factor and motherboard size. Most cases in our range are Midi Tower, with a handful of Mini Tower models. A Midi Tower usually takes ATX, microATX and Mini-ITX boards, but always check the supported sizes in the manufacturer's specification.
Cooling and fans. Top panels most often support 120 or 140 mm fans, and rear panels 120 mm or 120 and 140 mm. Some models also fit a 240 mm radiator at the top. Check how many fans are included and whether the front is mesh, as a closed glass front lets less air through.
RGB type and control. Addressable ARGB (5 V, 3-pin) and standard RGB (12 V, 4-pin) are not compatible with each other. Find out whether the lighting is controlled from the motherboard, a button on the case or a remote.
Internal space and drives. Cases in our range most often list 7 expansion slots, with some offering 8 or 10. There is room for between one and six 2.5-inch drives, and usually two 3.5-inch drives. If you plan a long graphics card or many drives, compare these figures.
Ports and colour. The front panel usually has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, though some models have one or four. Black and white cases dominate our range, and there are a few pink ones.

Frequently asked questions
Does RGB lighting reduce PC performance?
No, lighting does not change how fast the processor or graphics card runs. It uses only a small amount of power. Some manufacturers' control software runs in the background, but its effect on gaming performance is normally unnoticeable.
Can RGB fans be connected to any motherboard?
No, the board needs a matching header: 5 V ARGB or 12 V RGB. Without one, the case's own controller handles the lighting. Check the fan connector type before connecting, because a mismatched plug can damage the LEDs.
How many fans does a PC case need?
Usually one exhaust fan at the rear and one or two intake fans at the front are enough. The airflow path through the case matters more than the number of fans. For hot components, you can add another fan at the top.
Will a microATX motherboard fit in a Midi Tower case?
Yes, Midi Tower cases generally take ATX, microATX and Mini-ITX boards. A smaller board leaves more room for cable routing. Still, check the specification of the specific model.
