Frequently asked questions
What size of kettle should I buy?
For one or two people, a kettle of 1 to 1.2 litres is enough, while a family usually does better with 1.5 to 1.7 litres. Choose a larger one if you often boil water for several cups at once. An oversized kettle used for a single cup wastes time and electricity.
How is an air fryer different from a deep fryer?
An air fryer cooks food with hot circulating air, so it needs very little oil or none at all. A deep fryer submerges the food in hot oil. The results are similar but not identical, as battered food tends to come out drier from an air fryer.
Are a blender and a food processor the same thing?
No, although some functions overlap. A blender is made for liquids, smoothies and purées, while a food processor has interchangeable discs and blades for slicing, grating and kneading dough. If you cook a wide variety of dishes, a food processor is the more versatile choice.
How do I descale a kettle?
