This category brings together IT and security equipment that does not sit in a dedicated section: video surveillance, networking gear, storage drives and specialist accessories. Our range includes over 80 products, with items from Dahua, Hikvision, Teltonika and Huawei. It suits homes and small businesses.
How to choose
Product type. The category mixes several product groups, so comparing a camera with a router makes little sense. Decide first what you need: surveillance, connectivity or data storage.
Camera resolution and location. More megapixels show finer detail, but recordings take up more space on the storage drive. An outdoor camera needs a dust and water protection rating (IP65 or higher), and night viewing depends on infrared illumination.
Power and connections. Many IP cameras are powered through the network cable (PoE), so you need a PoE switch or a recorder with PoE connections. Wireless cameras are easier to install, but they still need a power supply and a stable Wi-Fi signal.
Connectivity equipment. For a router, look at the Wi-Fi standard, the speed of the network connections and whether there is a SIM card slot for mobile internet. If the site has no wired internet, choose a model that works over 4G or 5G.
Compatibility. Check that the camera supports the standards your recorder uses, such as ONVIF. Choose a storage drive by the size and interface your device accepts.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an IP camera and an analogue one?
An IP camera sends digital video over a network, while an analogue camera uses a coaxial cable. IP cameras generally offer higher resolution and are easier to add to an existing network. Analogue cameras are often kept where the cabling is already installed.
Does a camera need PoE?
No, but PoE simplifies installation because power and video travel over one network cable. Without PoE, each camera needs its own power supply at the mounting point. Wireless cameras are also powered separately.
What is a router with a SIM card for?
It provides internet over the mobile network when there is no wired connection or when a backup is needed. It is commonly used on remote sites, in vehicles and with remote equipment. Before buying, check which mobile standards the router supports.
How much storage do camera recordings need?
It depends on the number of cameras, the resolution and how long you keep recordings. More megapixels and longer retention mean a larger drive. Recorders are usually paired with hard drives designed for continuous surveillance use.
