Printers and scanners for home, office and label printing: laser, LED and inkjet models, plus thermal label printers. Our range of over 90 models includes HP, Brother, Canon, Epson and Kyocera, so it suits anyone from a home user printing the odd document to a small business printing every day.
How to choose a printer
Print technology. Laser and LED printers produce sharp text quickly, and toner does not dry out if you print only occasionally, so they suit documents and offices. Inkjet printers, including thermal inkjet models, handle photos and colour graphics better. Laser is the most common technology in our range, followed by inkjet and LED.
Black and white or colour. A black-only printer costs less to run for letters, invoices and contracts. Choose a colour model if you print presentations, graphics or photos: these use black, cyan, magenta and yellow. It is worth checking whether each colour has its own cartridge, so you replace only the one that runs out.
Paper size and purpose. Most printers in our range top out at A4, which covers everyday documents. A3 models are fewer and are meant for drawings, posters and wide spreadsheets, while A2 is rare. Label printers for warehouses, shops and shipping work with rolls rather than sheets.
Running costs and features. Compare the page yield of the cartridge or toner, since it determines the cost of each page. If you also scan, choose a multifunction device, and an automatic document feeder helps with large stacks of paper. Check for duplex printing, Wi-Fi and a network connection as well.

Frequently asked questions
Should I buy a laser or inkjet printer for home use?
If you mostly print text and documents, choose a laser printer, as it prints quickly and does not deteriorate when left unused. An inkjet is the better choice when you want photos and colour graphics. For occasional printing, a laser is usually the more convenient option.
What is the difference between a multifunction device and a regular printer?
A multifunction device can copy and scan as well as print, and some models also send faxes. If you only need to print, a standard printer is cheaper and takes up less space. Scanning is useful for turning paper documents into digital files.
Do I need an A3 printer?
You need an A3 printer only if you print drawings, posters or wide tables. A4 is enough for everyday documents, and A4 models are usually smaller and cheaper. Many A3 printers can also print A4, so they cover both uses.
What is the difference between thermal transfer and direct thermal printing?
A thermal transfer printer uses a heated printhead to melt wax or resin from a ribbon onto the label, so the print lasts longer. Direct thermal printing needs no ribbon, as heat darkens special paper, but the print can fade over time. Thermal transfer is the usual choice for labels that must last.
