Console extras

Console accessories: controllers, racing wheels with pedals, headsets, keyboards, mice and cables for games consoles and PCs. The category suits anyone who needs a spare controller, more precise control or a complete racing simulator setup. Our range includes over 1,300 products, with brands such as Logitech, Thrustmaster, Sony, Moza Racing and Nintendo.

How to choose console accessories

Compatibility. Start by checking which platform the accessory works with: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or PC. Wheels and controllers are often sold in separate versions for different platforms, so check the manufacturer's list of supported devices before buying.

Accessory type and game genre. Racing games call for a wheel and pedals, flight simulators suit a joystick, and action or platform games need little more than a good controller. If you play a mix of genres, a versatile controller is usually more useful than a specialised device.

Wheel motor type. Entry-level wheels typically use gear or belt drive, while direct drive wheel bases deliver stronger and more accurate force feedback. Direct drive costs more and needs a sturdy desk or cockpit mounting, so beginners are often well served by a simpler set.

Wireless or wired. A wired accessory has no latency and never needs charging, while a wireless one is more comfortable when you sit far from the screen but depends on its battery. For headsets and controllers, check whether they use a 2.4 GHz receiver or Bluetooth, as not every console supports the latter.

Connectors and cables. Check which connector you need, whether USB-A, USB-C or HDMI, and how long the cable must be to reach from the console to where you sit. If you connect several devices, a USB hub or an adapter comes in handy.

Frequently asked questions

Does a racing wheel work with every console?

No, wheels generally work only with the platforms the manufacturer lists. Many models come in separate PlayStation, Xbox or PC versions. Check the list of supported devices before buying, and make sure your game supports wheel input.

How does a direct drive wheel differ from a standard one?

In a direct drive wheel the motor is attached straight to the wheel shaft, which gives stronger and more precise force feedback than gear or belt systems. These wheels cost more and need a firm mounting. They are most worthwhile for people who race regularly.

Can I connect a keyboard and mouse to a console?

Often yes, as some consoles support USB keyboards and mice, but it depends on the model and the individual game. A keyboard usually works for menus and chat, while in-game support varies. Check the console's and the game's information first.

Is an original controller better than one from another manufacturer?

An original controller guarantees full compatibility with the console and its features. Controllers from other makers sometimes add extra buttons or adjustable settings, though some console functions may not work. Choose according to whether compatibility or extra features matter more to you.
