All-in-one PCs

All-in-one PCs

All-in-one computers have the processor, memory and storage built into the screen housing, so you get a single device on the desk with very few cables. Our range includes over 450 models: office and business machines, general home computers, Apple all-in-ones and touchscreen systems for tills and kiosks. Leading brands are Lenovo, Apple, HP, ASUS and MSI.

How to choose an all-in-one PC

Screen size and resolution. Most models in our range have a 23.8-inch (60.5 cm) or 27-inch (68.6 cm) display, with some 24-inch and small 15.6-inch versions as well. A 23.8-inch screen fits on a narrow desk and suits document work, while 27 inches gives more room for several windows side by side. Most models are Full HD, and Quad HD is rare, so look for it if you work with large spreadsheets or photos.

Processor. An Intel Core 5 or AMD Ryzen 5 is enough for office work, browsing and video calls. Choose an Intel Core 7 or Intel Core Ultra 7 if you run demanding software, edit video or use virtual machines.

Memory. Some all-in-ones are harder to upgrade than a standard desktop, so check the maximum amount of memory the device supports. In our range that maximum runs from 8 GB to 64 GB, and one model lists 96 GB. For most office users 16 GB is a sensible target.

Storage. The most common capacity in our range is 512 GB, and 1 TB is also frequent. 256 GB is enough if your files live in the cloud or on a network drive, while 1 TB or 2 TB makes sense for photo and video archives.

Operating system and extras. Most Windows models come with Windows 11 Pro, which businesses prefer for its extra security and management features, while Windows 11 Home is fine at home. A few models have no operating system, which helps if you already own a licence. Apple computers run macOS. For a shop counter or reception desk choose a touchscreen, and for a desk setup check stand adjustment and the number of ports.

Frequently asked questions

How does an all-in-one PC differ from a laptop?

An all-in-one is designed to stay on a desk, so it has a larger screen and usually more room for cooling, but you cannot carry it around easily. A laptop has a battery and fits in a bag. If the computer will stay in one place, an all-in-one takes up less space than a separate tower with a monitor.

How much RAM does an all-in-one PC need?

For everyday office work and browsing, 16 GB of RAM is enough. 8 GB suits only basic tasks, while 32 GB or more makes sense for graphics, programming or virtual machines. Check before buying whether the memory in a particular model can be upgraded later.

What screen size is best for an all-in-one PC?

A 23.8-inch Full HD screen suits most people: it fits on a small desk and the picture is sharp enough for daily work. Pick a 27-inch model if you keep several windows open or watch a lot of video. For detailed graphics, look for Quad HD resolution.

Can an all-in-one PC be used in a shop or at a reception desk?

Yes, touchscreen all-in-ones such as those from Elo are made for this. They are used at tills, self-service terminals and reception desks because they save space and can be operated by touching the screen. When choosing, check the connections for your till equipment and the type of stand.
