How to choose monitor accessories
Type of accessory. A stand or riser is enough when you only need to lift the screen to eye level and free up space underneath. A monitor arm lets you adjust height, distance and angle, while a wall mount clears the desk surface completely.
VESA mounting and weight limit. Most mounts attach to the VESA holes on the back of the monitor, usually 75×75 or 100×100 mm. Check that the mount supports the weight of your monitor and suits its screen size. Some curved and very thin monitors have no VESA holes, in which case you need a special adapter or a stand.
Brand compatibility. Some accessories are made only for monitors from certain manufacturers. Ergonomics. The top edge of the screen should sit roughly at eye level, about an arm's length away. That is why height adjustment and tilt are worth looking for. If you work with two monitors, check that the mount is designed for two screens.
Cleaning and care. Strong solvents and rough cloths damage screen coatings. A microfibre cloth and a cleaner made for screens are the safest choice. Compressed air is useful for blowing dust from ventilation slots and between keys.

How do I know if a mount will fit my monitor?
Check three things: the VESA hole spacing on the back of the monitor, the monitor's weight and its screen size. These details are listed in the monitor's specification and in the mount's description. If the monitor has no VESA holes, you will need a stand or a special adapter.
Is a monitor stand or a monitor arm better?
A stand is simpler, needs no fixing to the desk and works when you only want to raise the screen. An arm offers more adjustment and frees up desk space, but it has to be clamped to the desk or fixed to a wall. If you change the screen position often, an arm is more convenient.
How do I clean a monitor screen safely?
Switch the monitor off and wipe it with a soft microfibre cloth, lightly dampened with water or a cleaner made for screens. Do not spray liquid directly onto the display, and avoid strong solvents and rough cloths. Dust can be blown away with compressed air beforehand.
Does a Samsung monitor need Samsung accessories?
