This category covers mini tower and cube PC cases built for mini-ITX and micro-ATX motherboards. Our range has over 300 models, including JONSBO, CHIEFTEC, LIAN LI and THERMALTAKE. These cases suit anyone building a small home, office or gaming PC.
How to choose a small form factor case
Motherboard format. Start by checking which boards the case supports: mini-ITX only, or micro-ATX as well. Mini tower is the most common shape in our range, but there are also cube designs, and a few cases are classed as larger midi towers.
Graphics card and cooler clearance. In a small case the limits that matter most are graphics card length and CPU cooler height. Compare both with the maximum sizes the manufacturer lists, because a few millimetres can decide whether a part fits. Also look at the number of expansion slots: 4 is the most common in our range, but some models have 2 or 7, and a thicker graphics card often occupies two or three of them.
Storage. Most cases have room for 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives, but the number varies from one 3.5 inch bay to several, and a few have none. If you plan to fit several hard drives, check this first. M.2 SSDs mount directly on the motherboard and need no bay.
Cooling. The rear fan in our cases is usually 120 mm, and less often 80, 90 or 140 mm. Heat builds up quickly in a small volume, so choose a model with ventilation openings and space for at least one extra fan.
Power supply and ports. Some mini cases accept only an SFX power supply, while others also take a standard ATX unit. The front panel usually has one or two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, so if you connect many devices, pick a model with two.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a mini-ITX and a micro-ATX case?
A mini-ITX case is made for the smallest boards, which usually have a single expansion slot. A micro-ATX board is larger, so cases for it generally offer more expansion slots, drive bays and fan positions. Check which board formats a case supports before buying, as some accept both.
Will a large graphics card fit in a small case?
It will fit only if the card's length and thickness stay within the limits the case lists. Many small cases restrict the length and allow cards two or three slots thick. Compare your card's dimensions with the case specification first.
Do components run hotter in a small case?
Usually they do, because there is less air inside and the parts sit closer together. Ventilation openings, good airflow and a well chosen CPU cooler reduce the problem. Components that produce less heat also make overheating less likely.
What power supply does a mini case need?
It depends on the case: some accept only an SFX power supply, while others also take a standard ATX unit. The supported format is given in the case specification. Choose a unit with enough capacity for your processor and graphics card, and check its length, since the cables need room too.
