How to choose a screen protector
Device model. A protector is cut to the exact size and the camera and sensor positions of one model, so check the full model name, not just the manufacturer. Our range is largest for Apple and Samsung devices, and it also includes protectors for Lenovo, Google, Microsoft and Zebra devices.
Glass or film. Tempered glass feels like the original screen and absorbs knocks better. Plastic film is thinner, usually cheaper and mainly guards against scratches, which is why it is often chosen for larger tablet and laptop screens.
Type of protection. Many products in our range are listed as scratch resistant, and quite a few are also shock resistant. Others are described as bump resistant, dust resistant or drop proof. Shock protection matters if the device is dropped often, while a tablet kept on a desk usually needs scratch resistance only.
Fit with a case. Edge-to-edge glass can lift at the corners under a rigid case. A protector that stops slightly short of the edge works better with a thick case, and some manufacturers sell protector and case as a matched pair.
Installation. A protector goes on straight only when the screen is clean and free of dust. Kits with an alignment frame, cleaning wipes and dust stickers make this easier, especially on a large tablet screen.

Is tempered glass better than plastic film?
Tempered glass protects better against knocks and feels closer to the original screen, so it is the more common choice for phones. Film is thinner, usually cheaper and mainly stops scratches. Neither will fully protect a screen from a hard fall onto a rough surface.
Can I use a screen protector with a phone case?
Yes, but choose a protector designed to work with a case. Edge-to-edge glass can lift at the corners under a rigid case. With a thick case, a protector that is slightly smaller than the screen usually sits better.
How do I know which protector fits my model?
Check the full model name in the device settings or on the box. Models with similar names often come in several versions, such as standard, Pro or Plus, and their screen sizes differ. A protector made for another version will usually not fit.
When should I replace a screen protector?
Replace it when it cracks, its edges start to lift or deep scratches get in the way of reading the screen. Cracked glass can cut your fingers, and dust collects under a lifted edge. A new protector costs less than repairing a damaged display.
