Graphics tablets here include pen tablets without a screen and pen displays, used for drawing, photo retouching, digital illustration and handwritten notes on a computer. Our range has over 70 models, mostly from HUION and WACOM, with a few from DENVER and LG.
How to choose a graphics tablet
Pen tablet or pen display. A pen tablet without a screen costs less and takes up less desk space, but you look at the monitor while your hand moves somewhere else, so expect a few days of getting used to it. A pen display lets you draw directly on the image, which makes retouching and illustration more natural.
Active area size. A small active area suits notes, signatures and travel, while a medium one (roughly A5 or a little larger) covers most artists. Choose a large one if you draw with broad arm movements, but remember it needs more room on the desk.
The pen. A battery-free pen that responds well to pressure is the most convenient, because pressure controls line thickness and opacity. If you shade or work with brush tools, look for tilt recognition, and spare nibs are useful with regular use.
Screen quality. On a pen display, check the resolution, the colour gamut (sRGB coverage matters for web and print work) and whether the screen is laminated. A laminated screen reduces the gap between the pen tip and the line, so parallax is less noticeable.
Compatibility and connections. Make sure the tablet works with your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, and some models with Android devices) and check which connection it needs. Some pen displays connect with a single USB-C cable, others also need HDMI or a separate power supply, and a laptop may not have enough free ports.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a graphics tablet and a pen display?
A graphics tablet without a screen is only a touch-sensitive surface, and you see the result on your computer monitor. A pen display has its own screen, so you draw directly on the image. The first is cheaper and smaller, the second feels more intuitive.
Can I connect a graphics tablet to a phone?
Some models can be used with a phone, but not all. The tablet has to support Android, and the phone must be able to work with an external USB device. Check the manufacturer's list of compatible devices before buying.
What size of graphics tablet should I choose?
A medium active area, around A5 or slightly larger, is enough for most people. Choose a larger one if you have a big monitor or draw with wide movements, and a small one if you travel often. The tablet also needs to fit on your desk next to the keyboard.
Does a beginner need a professional graphics tablet?
No, you can learn on a simple tablet without a screen as long as its pen is pressure sensitive. Professional models with a large laminated screen and accurate colour are worth it when drawing is your job. Our range runs from simple to professional models.
