The Fans category covers household fans for a room or desk, as well as computer case fans and coolers. Our range includes more than 60 products, among them models from XIAOMI, Duux, Philips, Midea, StarTech.com and ROLINE.
First decide whether you need to cool a person or to move air inside a computer.
How to choose a fan
Purpose. A household fan cools by moving air and does not lower the temperature of the room. A computer fan is fitted in a case or on a graphics card and carries heat away from the components. The two types are not interchangeable, so settle this before looking at anything else.
Size and mounting. For a PC case, diameter matters most: our range includes 6, 7, 8 and 12 cm models. Check the fan size your case can take and where the mounting holes are before buying. For a household fan, choose by where it will stand: on a desk, on the floor, or as a tall tower model.
Noise level. In a bedroom or at a desk, quiet running often matters more than maximum airflow. For the computer fans in our range with a stated noise level, values at top speed run from roughly 27 to 39 dB, and a lower figure means a quieter fan. For household models, look for several speed settings and a night mode.
Rotational speed and airflow. The maximum speed of some of our case fans reaches 4500 RPM, while others turn at around 2000 or 3000 RPM. Higher speed gives stronger airflow but also more noise. A larger fan that turns more slowly is often the better choice.
Connector and controls. A computer fan connects to the motherboard with a 3-pin or 4-pin connector, and the 4-pin type allows speed control by PWM signal. On household models, a remote control, a timer or control through a phone app are useful.

Frequently asked questions about fans
Does a fan cool a room?
No, a fan does not lower the air temperature in a room. It moves the air, so your skin loses heat faster and you feel cooler. In an empty room it is worth switching the fan off.
What size of fan should I choose for a PC case?
The size is set by the mounting positions in your case, so check the case specification first. Fans of 120 mm (12 cm) are common in modern cases, and our range also includes 6, 7 and 8 cm models. A larger diameter can deliver the same airflow at lower speed and with less noise.
What is the difference between a 3-pin and a 4-pin computer fan?
A 4-pin fan has its speed controlled by the motherboard with a PWM signal, while a 3-pin fan usually has its speed changed by varying the voltage. Both plug into the same kind of motherboard header, but PWM gives smoother and more precise control. For a quiet PC, a 4-pin model is the better choice.
Can I replace a graphics card fan?
Often you can, as long as the new fan matches in size, mounting and connector. Check the exact card model and the fan dimensions carefully before ordering. Our range includes coolers intended for graphics cards.
