TerraMaster D6-320 6-Bay DAS Enclosure

The TerraMaster D6-320 is an external DAS enclosure designed to support up to six 3.5" SATA HDDs, 2.5" HDDs, and 2.5" SSDs. The device uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface with a bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s, ensuring fast data transfer and convenient storage expansion. The maximum supported capacity is as high as 132 TB, allowing you to create an extensive archive of files, backups, or multimedia content. The D6-320 supports Hot Swap, intelligent disk sleep mode, and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Thanks to its sturdy metal construction and efficient cooling, it’s ideal for both home and office environments.

Ample storage space and flexible configuration

The enclosure features six independent bays that support SATA drives in the most popular formats. The maximum capacity of a single drive is 22 TB, allowing for up to 132 TB of total storage space. This ample storage capacity is ideal for storing movies, photos, graphic design projects, video files, and backups. The D6-320 operates in single-drive mode (SINGLE DISK/JBOD), so each drive is visible separately and can be managed independently.

Hot Swap and Convenient Drive Management

The Hot Swap feature allows you to replace or install drives without having to power down the device. This minimizes downtime and streamlines data management during daily operations. This feature is particularly useful for users who frequently back up data or use multiple removable storage devices. Thanks to the independent management of each drive, you can easily expand storage capacity as your needs grow.

Intelligent Energy Saving and Hardware Protection

The TerraMaster D6-320 supports an automatic disk sleep function that synchronizes with the computer’s operating system. This reduces energy consumption and shortens the operating time of the storage media, which can positively impact their lifespan. The manufacturer has also included protection against improper power supply. If an unsuitable power source is detected, the device automatically activates protective mechanisms to safeguard the electronics and installed drives.

Effective cooling and robust construction

The enclosure is made of metal, which increases its durability and aids in heat dissipation. Inside, there are two 80 mm fans controlled by an intelligent temperature control system that automatically adjusts their speed to operating conditions. Additionally, the optimized design reduces vibrations and improves airflow inside the device. As a result, the D6-320 maintains optimal operating conditions for the drives even under heavy load, while keeping noise levels low.

Wide compatibility and NAS expandability

The D6-320 is compatible with computers equipped with USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 3.2, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. Support for Windows, macOS, and Linux allows for seamless use of the device in various work environments. The enclosure is also compatible with select TerraMaster NAS servers running TOS 5.1 or later, allowing you to expand your available storage capacity. Thanks to its compact design, the device takes up very little space and fits easily on a desk or in a small server room.
