Sony VPL-FHZ85 Large venue projector 8000 ANSI lumens 3LCD WUXGA (1920x1200) White

Bold, rich colour even in brightly lit rooms

Even powerful projectors can suffer from washed-out image colours in strongly-lit rooms. Exclusive to Sony, Bright View delivers high-impact images that don’t sacrifice colour. Newly improved Reality Creation ensures images, diagrams and text look clear and sharp, even in bright conditions. Intelligent Settings with Ambiance match projected images with your environment for an enhanced viewing experience: there’s even an ambient light sensor to measure room brightness.

Clearer images and text

Reality Creation uses powerful algorithms that boost image resolution closer to 4K clarity. Reality Text improves visibility of characters: great for conference rooms and classrooms.

Crisp, high-impact images

The use of 4K photos and videos is increasingly common in presentations. While the VPL-FHZ85/80 are WUXGA projectors, they offer a 4K60P input to display images with quality that’s close-to-true 4K resolution. Reality Creation is Sony’s processing technology that’s been improved for displaying 4K content better, ensuring images look crisper with a stronger feeling of depth.

Sophisticated design and superior installation flexibility

The light, compact VPL-FHZ85/80 make an elegant addition to any modern work space. Its understated blend-in design features a flat top surface that minimises visual impact when the projector is ceiling mounted. Installation is simplified with a choice of optional lenses, while a class-leading lens shift capability overcomes challenges like ceiling obstacles and other AV equipment.

Beautifully slim and stylish

The slim, stylish case design features a flat top surface that blends in discreetly when the projector is ceiling mounted.

Generous lens shift range

The class-leading vertical +70% lens shift adjustment range offers more installation freedom. A range of lens options suits virtually any room size and throw requirements: the quick-release bayonet simplifies lens exchange.

4K 60P input capable

The projector’s 4K 60P input capability makes life simpler when you’re using the VPL-FHZ85/80 in multi-screen set ups with other devices like flat panel sub-screens. Just split the same 4K signal to drive all your displays, with no conversion needed

Brighter for longer

While other projectors can fade over time, the VPL-FHZ85/80 are engineered to maintain consistent image brightness. An exclusive Intelligent Settings feature automatically monitors real-world usage, optimising settings to keep images consistently bright. The sealed laser light source and automated filter cleaning system prevent dust build-up, ensuring cool, efficient operation with uncompromised image brightness.

Designed with intelligence

Intelligent Settings simplifies installation and maximises performance based on usage, image detail, colour richness and fidelity, light output, cooling level and output noise. The Meeting/Classroom function controls laser output to keep brightness as high as possible for a period of actual usage time.

Hassle-free filter cleaning

Focus on great-looking images instead of time-consuming maintenance. The automated filter cleaning system removes dust every 100 hours, ensuring unrestricted clean air intake for optimised cooling.

Keep dust out of the picture

The laser light source is sealed to prevent dust accumulation and eliminating reduced brightness. The dedicated cooling duct structure for the projector’s 3LCD panels is covered with an air filter to prevent dust from entering.

Data Cloning

Settings for one projector can be copied to a second and subsequent projectors using a USB memory drive. This greatly simplifies installation and set-up of multiple projectors.

Auto Input Select

The Auto Input Select feature automatically selects an active signal input, so there’s no need to change input each time a device is connected to the projector.

Auto Power On

Connect the VPL-FHZ85/80 to a switched-on computer, and the projector turns on automatically without having to operate the power button.

Bright, beautiful colours

Bright View is Sony’s unique processing technology that brightens images while maintaining rich colour – even in brightly-lit business and educational environments.

Enhanced viewing experience

Intelligent Settings with Ambiance uses a built-in light sensor to measure room brightness, automatically adjusting Bright View mode, colour gain and Reality Creation to suit your presentation environment.
